The southwest experiences a notable increase in rainfall and a slight decrease in temperatures throughout May, but the climate remains very hot with an average of 29° C on Koh Lanta and Phuket. Count ten days with showers on Koh Lanta and nearly twenty in Phuket, but the sun remains present. These weather conditions announce the low tourist season and result in the closure of a few resorts; the others offer interesting discounts to maintain their activity. It's a time to enjoy.
