April is a pleasant month for the Gulf Islands of Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao, but there is usually a bit more rain this month than in previous ones.

Southwestern Thailand in April

April on the Andaman coast sees more rain than the previous months, but if lucky enough, it is still possible to have long periods of good weather at the beach, on the coast and on the islands like Koh Lanta or Phuket throughout April. This is usually the last month where certain places in the extreme south are open because in May, with the start of the monsoon season, some boat links are interrupted or are idling and therefore there are fewer tourists. Temperatures range from 24° C to 33° C.
